I am planning to buy Canon Powershot SX150 IS.My main requirements are excellent quality pics,HD video recording and price below 10K.I just wanted to know if my choice of Canon Powershot SX150 IS is correct and is there any other camera better than this for the above mentioned requirements.

It is a very nice camera. You can surely go for it. Alternatively, you can go for a lower variant / model , if you do not want to spend this much amount. Overall, this one is a good choice to buy.

Coming to your question , here are the most suitable configurations for your use :

As each camera has a little bit difference in terms of functions, I would like to advise you to go for specifications , and than choose the right model. As far as the company is concerned, I have a very good experience with Canon.

1. Megapixels - You can go for a camera with megapixels range from 10 megapixel to 14 megapixel.
2. Optical Zoom - 4x to 6x is sufficient .
3. Digital Zoom - Anything from 4x to 12x will be suitable.

If you can find a good offer from a REPUTED online store, you can go for online purchase. You can find many offers in Diwali season.
